Stephen Sandford

Mr. Stephen Sandford is currently Systems Engineering Director at Stinger, Ghaffarian Technologies, Inc. Author of The Gravity Well, he was the Director for Space Technology and Exploration at NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. There he led teams of engineers, researchers and mission architects focused on the toughest human exploration challenges creating high payoff, cross-cutting space technologies. Mr. Sandford’s 28-year career in aerospace with NASA spanned electro-optical engineering and research, systems engineering, line and project management and senior leadership positions at Langley with assignments at Johnson Space Center and Headquarters.  As Langley’s Engineering Director from 2004 to 2012, he led the engineering contributions for experimental vehicles for next generation human spaceflight. Rachael Mann

Rachael Mann is a speaker, TEDx coach, education consultant, and founder of #TeachlikeTED, an organization that provides teachers, leaders, and students with tools for presentation literacy. Rachael uses her voice and her expertise to broaden the conversation around education reform and to amplify the voices of teachers and students. Prior to #TeachlikeTED, Rachael was the Network to Transform Teaching and STEM Professional Learning Director for Northern Arizona University's AZK12 Center and State Director for Educators Rising Arizona. A former high school Career and Technical Education teacher and hailing from a family of educators, she has 14 years of classroom teaching experience. Rachael is a Google Certified Educator with a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. She is a founding member of the Council on the Future of Education and serves on the NCLA Executive Board.
